The sky was blue the stars were bright

I was easy, I had nothing to complain about

The comet burst, the sky it crumbled
there were all kinds of crazy shapes
and I danced and then I stumbled
and then I collapsed and I broke my plate

There was a spot, a little house there
a little place to fold my pillow
a little star shed, that feeds the willow
a little over from the juniper tree

The sharp spikes of little cactus
the little jumpers that come up so quick
to feel like there’s no tomorrow
